He wants to be the great domestic policy president. And he does not know that the domestic role has long gone by. FDR had that window when all of the other great powers were dealing with themselves. LBJ thought he had it, but that window died on December 7 1941.
The President of the USA is a foreign policy job. Get on with it, already.
