Barack Obama: Imaginary Friend of Democrats. Cause and Cure.

"And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name..."

Looks like the girls found their man.

Obama is an imaginary President...a creation of Marketing.

He's like The Shell Answer Man, Reddy Kilowatt and Speedy Alka-Seltzer all rolled into one.

At least the Shell Answer Man tossed out some useful info once in a while.

I walked into this empty church, I had no place else to go
When the sweetest voice I ever heard, whispered to my soul
I don't need to be forgiven for loving you so much
It's written in the scriptures
It's written there in blood
I even heard the angels declare it from above
There ain't no cure,
There ain't no cure,
There ain't no cure for love

Well, I'm one of those who "imagined" just how bad O would be, and tried to get people to listen. But they believed the hype, to their great regret. As Will Smith said in "I, Robot", "Sometimes 'I told you so' just doesn't quite say it".

Your post calls to mind one of the dominant aspects of the Clinton Administration (and of Bill Clinton post-presidency): while Clinton was very good at achieving his own ends, he was very poor at getting other Democrats elected. This was a constant complaint from within the Democratic Party itself for years and years.

The results yesterday may indicate a similar fate for Obama, who has little of Clinton's genuine charisma, nor is he, I suspect, as bright as Clinton himself (remember that Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar, while Obama refuses to release his college transcripts and thesis).

If the Republicans can really get their act together (always a big if), 2010 really could be a bloodbath for the Democratic Party, especially if Congress rams through some form of 'health care reform' and/or 'cap-and-trade'. ..bruce..

Ah, Gunny Highway. He knew how to deal with boy-men like Obama!

This post must have been inspired by the anniversary of "Sesame Street", which originally provided children with imaginary friends that even parents could find likable. Later the subtly adult backsides of the show's characters were scrubbed clean of reality and drowned in a hopey-changey rainbow hued gloss ... Cookie Monster no longer had a ferocious and human cookie obsession, but lukewarm love for veggies instead.

The children who were protected from consequences and rewarded for just being their immature, narcissistic and undisciplined little selves certainly find everything to love about Obama. Parent-funded liberal colleges and grant-funded "socially relevent" pastimes in hedonistic coastal cities made Obama worship inevitable.

The ultimate price, I fear, will be paid by us all.

What the Chinese emperors once did to women's feet we can now do to human souls and we're not outsourcing

Who is this 'we' white-boy? But that is a nifty line. I'm going to swipe that.

Why do you hate =======
What's the difference between Barack Obama and God? Barack Obama actually exists and is my personal god.

Posted by The Truth at December 1, 2009 7:30 AM

I would like to state again that Barack Obama is not "my personal god," and I thirst for open debate on the issue.

I admit that I am becoming over stimulated by Glenn Beck and have to curb my urges. Somebody please call my family and have them intervene!

I had a friend with a dog named Mike. Mike hated every living creature on earth except his master. Mike's favorite pasttime was finding a greasy spot on the street where an animal had been flattened, and rolling around on top of it. One more notch up the foodchain, erstwhile ally.
Obama reminds me of Mike. Willing, even eager to roll around on the greasy spot he's created from his erstwhile allies. And hates every other thing on the planet except his master. Allah.

"We’ve been producing the manchild, the femchild, and the girly-boy in this country for decades. What the Chinese emperors once did to women's feet we can now do to human souls and we're not outsourcing."

While public education (through college) is an indispensable part of the process, that is the result of the progressive's holy grail, "cradle to grave" care, isn't it?

There are some very telling moments in Hugh Hewitt's interview of Harvard law professor Lawrence Lessing Hewitt asks Lessing several questions about Obama who "taught" at Harvard while Lessing was there. Obama is a zero. A sub-par intellect promoted by the Peter Principal of affirmative action. He made his way on looks, voice, charm, and race. His real world accomplishments total zero. Indeed, the man is the end product of a country saturated in facile media imagery, political correctness, and clever marketing. Read the new Steyn piece as well. It would seem that the Zero not only needs his teleprompter, he relys on phonetic spelling as well. http://www.hughhewitt.com/transcripts.aspx?id=863399cc-3052-465c-a665-0a1818ae3ffd

"Don't worry; I'll be right behind you."

Yes, we feel him there frequently.

A black recipient of Affirmative Action betray his liberal white patrons? Inconceivable!

Ow. This really made my eyes hurt. There's not enough bleach made that can clean them.

"buying lap dances from Nancy Pelosi night-after-night in the champagne court at the back of the DC titty bar"

Thanks a lot for THAT particular visual.

If God is an imaginary friend, then God is one stern friend, demanding adherence to certain rules in order to keep his friendship.

That is not necessarily a bad thing, when mercy tempers the law.

I had no idea that Barack Obama was in an episode of "Matlock"

I'm a Buddhist Libertarian and I detest Obama both as a man and a leader. (I never claimed to be a good Buddhist) My take is that Obama shares the same blind belief in metaphysical abstractions that makes both the right (Religious Bush) and left (Commie Obamie) feel that they must foist their own belief systems onto people by force (read: government).

Also, people should read the history of the word "Atheist" (yes, words have histories too) before making assumptions about what they/we are claiming in positive terms. It really is quite different from the "I-can-prove-there-is-no-God!" parody it is often depicted as.
