Aaah, memories! My twins used to disappear and become deadly quiet as toddlers. They used to alternate between hyperloud and hyperquiet, and when they were in full scream mode I could hear them banging their iddow heads on the floor from way upstairs, and when they were in stealth mode, I knew they would be behind the couch, looking for ways to unplug the child proof electrical outlet covers. I don't know what it is about the outlets that so attracts little toddlers, but there were times I really wished that I'd had them attached at birth. It would have prevented so many near heart attacks.
Posted by Jewel at January 17, 2010 12:28 PMOh great. When the kid becomes an EMT he's going to spend a couple of minutes grilling the folks trapped in the rolled car about how they got there.
Posted by charris at January 17, 2010 1:32 PMThat is too cute.
:^)
I'm telling you, I really don't know how some parents keep themselves from kissing and hugging their children to death. How freakin' adorable is that?! Geez...
Posted by Kerry at January 17, 2010 4:32 PMcharris is so right. I used this exact same tactic with my kids, quizzing them on the wrong choices that got them into trouble before rescuing them from it. And my oldest son, now a firefighter, has a reputation with his coworkers. "Always making the catastrophe a learning experience" his chief once told me.
My kids all called them "ambeelences" too. Thanks, Gerard, for posting such a darling video.
