Matthews Forgets Obama is "Black." Fails to Notice He's "Red"

Conservatives look at Obama and all they see is a raving Marxist socialist, because that is the complete and critical thing that matters about him. Lefties look at him and all they can see is a black guy. Because that is the complete and critical thing that consumes them. The lefties are the ones with the flawed prisms.

"we've completely forgotten that tonight. Completely forgotten it."

Except me. And Chris. Thanks for bringing it up, Chris. Again. Thanks again.
Oops. What is it I'm supposed to remember again? You know. The thing I'm supposed to not notice. Or something. Thanks for noticing. Now forget it. Until I remind you. Why is this important? I forget..

Now that's news you can use..
Or insanity you can't..

Matthews is by far the smartest of the MSNBC lot and there was a time when he actually made sense (before his 105F malaria induced fever).

Every time a tinkle runs down Chris Matthew's leg, an angel gets his wings...

Obama's black!? You don't say. All I noticed is a smug, lying, condescending, arrogant prick who barely has the brains, or competence to read a teleprompter. He could be fair to middling news anchor, though. Maybe MSNBC will use some stimulus money to give him a job once Olberman gets the boot.

I'll bet a bunch of Cambridge Police Officers will never forget that Obama is black......

John, I think you give him too much credit. To be a newscaster, you can't move your whole head back and forth to read the teleprompters, looking as though you're watching a tennis match. You have to actually look towards the audience. Make a little eye contact. At least pretend to be talking to the viewers.

Until he can manage that simple task, I don't think he has a chance at being any kind of regular newspeaker. Even though he has the newspeak part down pat.

OK. He forgot that Obama is black.

Wonder what jostled his memory so that he might share that moment of holy post-racialism with us before the ecstasy of yet another tingle rendered him incontinent, incoherent and irrelevant.

Sorry. Can't shake this. It was just so repugnant. Hot Air posted the video of Matthews further explaining his piety.

One of the commenters left this:

Y’see, Chrissy, this is the deal. I do not have to pretend that Obama is not black. In fact, I fully recognize that he is black, and I do not have to for one second — much less one hour — disrespect his full personhood because of it. I do not have to subtract any part of who he is in order make him acceptable to me or anyone else. Moreover, sir, I can even celebrate that he is black because I can recognize his full humanity as an American who shares with all of us the pursuit of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. No American needs to hide in the shadows when the light of freedom fully exposes the potential in each of us. You see, as C.S. Lewis says, the light of Truth takes us out of the muck of some bland sameness, and elevates us to the glory that God intends for us. On the other hand, your perversion of the liberties granted to each of us condemns us to mediocrity and futility. You, sir, are an agent of darkness, not enlightenment. Mr. Matthews, sir, you owe each and every American an apology for the poison that you peddle as intellectualism.

Yes, Barack Obama is a black man. I can accept that. I can handle the implications of whatever that may mean, if anything. I cannot, however, accept the fact that he swims in the same philosophical cesspool that you do, sir, and for that he should be held accountable. As should you. You are not to be commended for your patronizing “open mindedness”. Instead, you should be fired for the moral sinkhole that you have become. Please, just gather your things, and get the hell out!

The CEO of GE and the President of NBC took the time to read the riot act to the staff at CNBC after Rick Santelli tossed the match that set off the Tea Party movement.

Interesting that you used "twins" in referring to Maddow-Olbermann. I have perceived them as possible incestuous offspring of some kind.

They have always presented a perverted, slimy kind of interchangeabliliy about their on -screen personas.

He wants to be the top rooster on the dung heap. Good luck with that dream, pal.

What would be funny is if Comcast announced to MSNBC that they were going to take the channel in a 'different direction' and try to cut into Fox's audience.

"Mr. Olbermann, Ms. Maddow, Mr. Matthews - it only makes business sense. Stop frothing, there is market share to be gained. It is only business, and, unfortunately, you are not unique voices."

There was a time when Matthews was a partisan, but reasonable guy. He actually sat in on Rush's radio show a couple of times in 1999-2000 and did a pretty good job. I guess that eight years with a GOP president drove him insane.

I've been mocking his show as "Softball" for years, but I kind of wish the old Matthews would come back. Someone on the left needs to exhibit some sanity, and it sure isn't going to be the Olberdouche or the Mad-cow.
