About a year ago national NPR reporter, Brooke Gladstone, visited Seattle and stopped by the local feed (KUOW) for an interview; during the interview she commented about another NPR reporter and listing his positive points said"...and he's gotten over 9/11..." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The bottomless vanity and heartlessness of the NPR gang is unfathomable.

To resurrect an archaic phrase used by some of my kin:

"Fergit, Hell!"

A lot of people have "moved on"...in fact, they've moved on so far that I bet a devout Muslim could go on a military base, shoot 43 people, killing 13 of them and the Moved-On would actually get mad if you even suggested that it might be an act of terrorism.

Nah, too outlandish. That would never happen.

And never forget that 9/11 was the quintessential act of islamic warfare: commit the filthiest, cruelest, and most vile crimes imaginable against innocents. Far from being an act of disgrace, 9/11 was, and is a source of honor and pride in the eyes of the ummah. I will not forget the footage of the palestinians dancing in the streets as the towers crumbled. Nor will I lose the desire to see them nuked off the planet.

Oh, but what if the guy stood up in front of a professional organization and gave a presentation explaining the virtues of Sharia Law and describing what he'd like to do to persecute infidels.

Even then, I bet the Move-Ons would still look the other way and fight the real threats to the world like Childhood obesity and Global Warming...after they dig themselves out of 4 foot deep snowbanks.

Reading the comments at the Mail online just made my head want to explode. I can't move on. Look at the picture of what has risen from the ashes thus far...a pathetic gesture, but I am sure they are trying. It really pisses me off when the truthers come out and blame everyone in the government and ignore the Islamofascistis what done the deed. The truth was incinerated in those attacks, and I will never sing kumbaya. Ever.

I'm with you but I don't think you go far enough. I hope you are right in your implication - that the war will be over when there is a 200-foot-deep hole in Saudi Arabia and the Kaaba is dust, smoke and ash blowing on the wind - but unfortunately I think you are wrong.

I think that the war will be over when every mosque, madrasa, Islamic cemetery and Islamic so-called university is rubble; when every copy bar one or two of the Koran is ash; when to Mecca are added Medina, Qom, Tehran, Cairo, Istanbul, Dacca, Damascus, Jeddah, Riyadh, Aden, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur...

That's when the 1350-year war will be over.

If anyone else had the misfortune to see "2012", all I could see in it was porno for the enemies of Western civilization. How anyone could have made it and called it 'entertainment'? It was 9/11 writ large, with every edifice of the West falling into dust. Horror after horror. The makers clearly thought the world was "over it", to the point where the death of millions of human beings is background to the insipid storyline. It wouldn't surprise me to know it's "must see" in the madrassas.
But the dishonest director knew that at least one segment of the world wasn't "over it", because he admitted he would have been crazy to show the destruction of Mecca. He didn't want to die! At least he had the choice: the people in those planes, in those towers, and at the Pentagon had none.

However, in the words of an acquaintance, she just wants to have her happy life, so lets put all this unpleasantness in the past. It seems as though a lot of the West agrees.
