On a night when I am hiding in the home office as the festival of fatuousness known as the Oscars entertains the resident moonbats, I know I have seen the best animated short of all!
ps. Palin could have used a better rack. Just sayin'.
Posted by sherlock at March 7, 2010 7:08 PMOne of the great joys of my life was singing the part of The Watchman in William Shuman's opera Casey At The Bat. Every night I got to recite Thayer's epic, and the crowd went nuts.
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in Mudville - mighty Casey has struck out.
If only I had known then...
This is wonderful stuff.
