I saw that video this morning on another site. I think I've watched it 6 times already, There is a moment in the video where Jonathan closes his eyes as if he just wants to listen......it's so precious. Perfect.

If you click through the other videos that are related after Jonathan's is finished, you see all kinds of reactions to hearing sound for the first time. They are usually startled and crying.

I remember seeing a piece on sixty minutes (or something along that line) speaking out against cochlear implants because it was akin to discrimination as it implied there was something wrong with deaf people. Jewel's comments reminded me of the silliness of the "we're all winners" crowd.
