Right. Right. And Right Again. Washington Rebel is on a Roll

Whoa!

Thanks, Gerard. If that doesn't sound too mundane.

"Whenever I was in the mood for sport,
I'd sneak within cane range, say something bad,
and try to outrun the snap o'that whip.
She meant business. The bruises I earned
testing her humor would result in prosecution
in our time. "Child Assault" authorities call it.
Jesus, I used to laugh playin' that game.
She had a fierce temper and I knew how
to flare it. But I'll tell ya,
when we got a righteous hurt,
she pulled us to her breast and cooed

noni noni noni.

We didn't know what it meant.
It didn't matter."

Dang - like poetry, this one is. Back to readin' it.

Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, "So may the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow."

Then he was afraid, and he arose and went for his life, and came to Be'er-sheva, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree; and he asked that he might die, saying, "It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am no better than my fathers."

Fatman, it gets worse before it gets better, but remember, Jezebel becomes dog food in the end. Mussolini is hung from a meat hook. Tyrants all meet their end. Whenever the ends justify the means, the end is near.
