If Black's make up 13% of the population, and "hundreds" were in attendance, that means there should have been a lot of whites there feeling the inclusive love of Mr. Sharpton. Can the MSM give us their spin on that one?

Considering how the peoples of Latin America come in all races and colors (including indigenous, Caucasians, Chinese, Japanese, Indian), how can anyone tell if there were/were no "Hispanics" at the rally?

If the current regime were in charge of Beck's gathering, white people would have been prevented from entering the site until the requisite proportional number of negroes were admitted;

One could say that the difference between black and white is that the rich (still overwhelmingly white, in the USA) have so arranged matters that their cheating and stealing is legal.

One good example is short-selling - which basically consists of selling something you don't own in the hope of buying it later, cheaper. In any other field, that sort of activity would attract a long term in jail.

I must have missed the part of that "crime" where it was forbidden for African-Americans to short sell.

The proper figure for "European-American" whites as a percentage of the American population is more like 70%. Keep in mind that the population figures listed includes the huge influx of illegals, and are therefore skewed.

And speaking of numbers, shouldn't people like Al Sharpton and President Obama be listed as half-white? As a matter of fact, if you include the white admixture among blacks and Hispanics, the total "whiteness" of America amounts to more than 80%.

Mikey, you just restated my point. Let's imagine that you want to do what the short-sellers do, but with another commodity. OK. You hire a car for two months, sell it and then buy it (or an identical model) back 7 weeks later and hand it back to the hire company. How long would you stay out of jail?

As far as the standard rant about the "crime" of short-selling.... well, we all have our hobby-horses, but the last time I looked there was no law against it and that, on this planet, is how we know something is, you know, "legal."

rickl - Many other items are fungible too - Krugerrands, silver bullion, bushels of corn, you name it. Try short-selling Krugerrands, and see how long you stay out of jail. I would guess not very long.

The point here is that somehow the "financial industry" has managed to arrange it so that practices which are obviously dishonest are legal. Such as turning bad loans into securities and slicing and dicing them so many ways that you can't sort out the bad paper. And yes, selling things you don't own.
