Here's what we've become:

The SS had a simple method to sort volunteers for guard duty at extermination camps. They would gather several volunteers at a time to watch an SS veteran murder a prisoner. Those that did not wretch or faint, as most did, were in.

The method of TSA is to pay guards enough above their competence--and introduce degradations only gradually--where workers will not quit in disgust to seek a lesser paying job. If these people had alternatives they wouldn't be grabbing anybodies Johnson. They're guilty. Anybodies guess how far they will go. They're all guilty. And we're all guilty for taking it.
