Woman of the Year "Reviews" The Black Swan (NSF[ANYTHING])

After I hurled, I realized that her vote actually gets counted. It made me hurl again.

I want to watch it, Gerard, really, I do. But I fear I will laugh so hard that I will cry, and that would make my makeup run.

Someone get her Joy Behar's cell number. Joy could use the makeup tips.

That video was so sarcastic, it practically came out the other side.

"I'm obviously not a virgin but I like to often pretend that I am." She has way too much time on her chubby hands! I'm so relieved that now I won't have be tempted to watch the movie. Let's see, an obsessive/compulsive virgin wants to please her borderline dance instructor who refuses to have sex with her? What, is he gay?

Miss (addressing the person in the linked clip):

Natalie Portman is a very beautiful human woman who has access to the finest makeup, lighting, and camera artists on earth - and the opportunity to have multiple takes of any phototgraph or moving picture scene she is in.

Any picture or movie clip of her is the result of many, many skilled people working very hard to get that precise look - and if they don't many picture editors will work to make sure that picture looks like it does. Now, knowing that you are not Ms. Portman and you do not have the support staff that is usually assigned to a major amphibious invasion on the scale of Operation Overlord, what makes you think that your little clip is going to say anything other than 'sad'?

Just asking.

Well, Mikey, I'm not sure you got the joke.

But getting the joke doesn't mean it was actually any good.

Thanks, Gerard--I'll get you back someday . . .

If you click on the link to You Tube, you can see she also did a tutorial on make-up for Avatar, among other things.

This girl is really pretty funny. The comments range from appreciating the satire to concern about her mental health. It's just like the episode in Arizona! Beware of YouTube!!!

She is funny. I like her.

And what Maureen said.

Brilliant.

Maureen has it right.

Saw The Black Swan with my two older teen daughters on the advice of their grandmother, who had seen it and found it to be "mysteriously beautiful". It was disturbingly gross, sadistic, and repulsive. My daughters had the good sense to leave during the self-mutilation scenes. This young woman has captured the disgusting, self-absorbed narcissism of the director and actress perfectly. Bravo to her! As for my mother, I am now seriously worried about her mental health and will closely guard my nail file when she visits.

LMA:

Perhaps I didn't get the joke. It does happen, and I am willing to admit it.
