Dark Matter

Dang... i wish I could write poetry like that.

At best, I am only worthy of the incidentally humorous limmerick or haiku.

I am less than that, cond0010. But I am happy to note it in others.

Noting bad poetry, Jewel?

Yea. Besides adding levity to a conversation, it also lends itself as a stark contrast to... awesome ... poetry written by gifted authors such as Gerard.

I could break out in Limerick, if you'ld like?

Muahahahahahaaaaaa

Noting good poetry. Bad poetry is, dare I say it, a hallmark of the greeting card industrial complex.

Posted by Jewel at January 17, 2011 9:28 PM

Rats. ...and I was hoping.

I guess I'll go on over to 'Hoops and Yoyo' to garner some more poetic inspiration.

Posted by Cond0010 at January 17, 2011 9:36 PM

I garner headaches from Hoops and Yoyo.

Posted by Jewel at January 17, 2011 9:56 PM

I think thats their 'Hallmark'... annoying is their forte - but in a cute way.

If it weren't for their cartoon avatars, I'd swear they were a couple little boys that sneaked off their ritalin and broke into a box of Frosted-Sugar-Bombs.

Cute annoys me, as does nice.

Bad poetry, Greeting card industry, Hoops and Yoyo, cute and nice.

Got it.

Is their anything else you'ld like to add to this list?

Posted by Cond0010 at January 17, 2011 10:46 PM

Well, I hadn't planned on compiling a list when I first posted. I was just noting the talent for good poetry in some people, the talent I lack, and I guess we digressed a bit.

Gerard?

When are you going to publish your works? These are consistently real good.

I know I'd buy.

Please! My Kindle lacks The Works of Gerard Vanderleun.

Further reading reveals that scientists have actually gotten a glimpse of dark matter for the first time. One, who wished to remain anonymous, said it was oddly reminiscent of a unicorn.

awesome poem.

dark matter / dark energy = G-d.

Darkness is once again falling on the face of the deep. Let there be light.

Dark Matter: it has to exist or all our theories about an eternal, cycling universe are trash!

It would be better poetry if the correct "its" were used in two places. How come so few people can learn the correct use of "its" meaning "possessed by it" and "it's" being the contraction of "it is"? Words have a meaning, people. Punctuation exists for clarity in communication.

You're right. Don't know how the variation got there. Just spaced out in the space.

Mr. Vanderleun, I am very glad that for whatever reason, you didn't ascend that stairway. There are very few who can tell about having seen that view. I would wager that scant few of that group could describe the experience so masterfully. Most excellent work. Thank you. Please continue.

Please visualize a comma after the word "glad", in my preceeding comment, for clarity of communication.

Thanks for the kind sentiment, Williams. Comma visualized.
