Principles of Tyranny

There are too many hard thoughts in this diagnosis, Gerard. We are screwed, indeed.

Another civil war is in the offing. Only it's going to be Big Brother against the rest of us.

Perhaps the first thing to make tyranny a reality is loss of faith in the true God -both by the tyrants and by their oppressed masses - who wonder how this happened to them as they naively put all their faith in falen man and the state to do what is right.

Have we noticed that the requirements for President now seem to be simply a matter of who is the best deceiver, and who will tell us the lies we wish to hear?

Where are the cries for honesty above all -character,decency, visible moral strength, a person of conscience, humble but courageous, God-fearing?

We don't even admire those necessary traits in a leader - we don't demand them of ourselves.

Without those qualities a nation is hollow and doomed to corrupt and die. We are mostly there.

Well slap me silly. Looks like all the principles are applicable in this country as I write this.

So, who has the balls to do anything about it? Ms. Jewel is on to something. Call it a Civil War against government. Call it a Revolution. Call it anything you want, but it "ain't gonna be purdy."

Yas, Yas, Yas, Jewel got religion. Any one else? Are you willing to join? Have you the nerve to do what it takes? That we'll see.

Cilla has the word for it. ..."ain't gonna be purdy." Damn well better believe that!

Posted by Peccable at May 23, 2011 3:41 AM

And you can damn sure know that "they" will not throw the first physical punch in any overt way. They will, as with Israel, keep pushing and pushing and constraining and taking, and hemming in and handcuffing our every move until someone is forced into submission, or forced to physically push back. Either way is a win for tyranny.

"Aint' gonna be purdy," for sure. Not sure if it'll look like the Bolshevik revolution or the more recent malaise of the Soviet collapse into eternal political corruption. But history will prove what the atheists reject: the greatest Republic of freedom and innovation was brought to you by Western Christianity within the individuals who made up our founding. Not in the documents, laws, the words, the separations of power, the politicians, or the battles fought and blood spilled; but in the hearts and minds of American people.

A nation under God is truly free to be what it can dream.

"If the foundations be destroyed, what will the righteous do?"

How many times do I have to say this? "I don't care" - dammit! - "Obama is awesome!"

Everybody on this page knows the future is more likely to be more of the same, a quiet descent, more whimpering and less shouting. We are exactly where democracy under universal suffrage should be on its way to the despotism that is more humiliating than the evil tyrant, because it requires our agreement.

Mr. Tocqueville--Universal suffrage is not only a detestable element of government, but also a powerful revolutionary instrument.

Bruce Catton in one of his histories on the Civil War had a throw-away line that has implications here. To paraphrase, he said that like all other civil wars, ours started with government soldiers killing civilians.

Does anyone remember Ruby Ridge or Waco, Texas?

James Wilson is closest to the truth. As someone who was in the trenches in the last election cycle I can tell you with almost metaphysical certainty that the "people" are really the "sheeple". The police state marches on unabetted. Did you notice the sad story about Cpl Jose Guerena, USMC, Iraqi war vet whose home was hit by a swat team a few days ago and who was shot 60 times? Folks, that happens all the time. Where is the outrage? http://pajamasmedia.com/richardfernandez/comment/159951/ And have a look at this interactive map of botched paramilitary police raids from the CATO institute. http://www.cato.org/raidmap/index.php

Mr. Hinds:

I have been keeping up with the coverage of Cpl Jose Guerena, USMC and am as outraged about reading about it just as I was when I read about Ruby Ridge and Waco, and many more instances like the recent one in Arizona which sometimes does not get national media coverage, but just occasional blurbs here and there. Yes sir, I have been keeping up with our government using force against citizens.

Let's just say this ole gal ain't ready to submit to illegal powers used against the people who pay these SOB's with taxes paid by the citizens. Let's just say I go by the old "never again" statement.

Enough said.

Good for you Cilla Mitchell. It's nice to have an ally in, what, Galveston? If everyone paid half the attention that GVD's readers do, then, well, who knows? Everyone knows who the American Idol contestants are, who the running back for the Redskins is, etc., but couldn't tell you for a million dollars what a bicameral legislature means. We get the leaders we deserve, it is said. Well, look at our leaders and you see the rest of the story. Necessity might be the mother of invention but she's been on hiatus since Reagan.

It ain't over and the fat lady isn't singing.

Resist in any way you personally can. Screw them up however you can. Cut them with thousands of little cuts from millions of 'little people'.

Be a citizen and not a subject.

- Volunteer nothing that would benefit them either materially or in esteem through osmosis.
- Fill out [subtly] wrong info in their forms.
- Pay their fees in the most inconvenient -for them- way you can.
- Sneer when you learn what the wolves and their dependent ungulate do for a parasitic living.
- Save and downsize.
- Divest yourself from dependence on their bread and circuses...There is always a catch.
- Buy American quality whenever possible.
- Prepare physically and spiritually.
- Do not support their supporters.
- Don't fall for their attempts to isolate and demoralize you. Be happy.

Fight.

the simple words of Samuel Adams apply, just when and more specifically where?

Posted by hiramsmaxim at May 23, 2011 4:30 PM

Beware the "canary effect" movement. That's when they start intimidating or arresting vocal critics etc.

I got a call from the FBI yesterday. They want to meet with me today about some comments they think I posted a few months ago.

Beware. It may be beginning.

They're starting to try to suppress free speech and association etc.

Just sayin'

Comments posted when and where, Anon? If I were being intimidated by the Fumbling Bumblers of Incompetence™ for opinions I made, I would call them out on it, name some names and say what the comment was I made. You didn't wish for death on anyone did you?
