"I'm phobia-phobic:" Mark Steyn on Free Speech

I'd have him arrested for his bad impression of bad singing of a bad song. But he gets a gold star for the rest of it.

Human Rights are not about individual rights. They are about collective power. We must NEVER forget that. Social Justice and Black Liberation Theology are perfect examples of what happens when human rights go on steroids. We end up with a mistakes like President Barack Obama and Atty Gen Eric Holder.

I refer to human rights activists as the Human Rights Industrial Complex. When you think of all the crapitalistic things sold by Amnesty International and all, they're in it for the money, plain and simple. If they really cared about humanity, they wouldn't be going to bat for tyrants and murderers.

Leftist Revisionist history has as its goal to undermine the peoples' confidence in the rightness of their country so that enemies will not have to work so hard to destroy the country.

If I may edit somewhat.

Jewel - it is a worldwide network indeed - and it certainly isn't human rights they are hustling. The flotilla, Audacity of Hope is NOT about human rights but rather inciting Israel. I wonder if Obama will send in SEAL Team 6 to handle this?

Why doesn't this brilliant man have the media presence of a Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck? Or an even greater presence, taking advantage of the web based video technologies that will soon bury traditional media sources.

If only there was a network devoted to the individual willing to give him a platform. A network where voices of reason and common sense from across the right side of the political spectrum could come to exchange ideas and begin the challenging work of changing minds. A RightNetwork if you will.

Nah! Never happen.

Ah, Mark, Limbaugh's ratings go higher when Steyn hosts. My husband will only listen when Steyn hosts. There may be more at work than we can know. As for the Audacity of Hope, let us refer to that windmill tilting expedition as the Mendacity of Hype. A more fitting name.

Mark Steyn hits the bullseye again, as he usually does. And in a victory for free speech, Geert Wilders was acquitted of all charges. The forces of collectivism and "human rights" haven't won yet.

I don't think the entire purpose of Wilders' trial was to necessarily win for the prosecution, but to wear Wilders out. Many people wouldn't fight back the way he did. And remember, Elisabeth Sabaditsch was actually convicted on one count of 'insulting' Islam by stating that Mohammed had 'raped' Aisha. The judge's perverse ruling stated that since Aisha was still married to him by the time she was 18, it wasn't considered rape. A female judge no less.

The judge's perverse ruling stated that since Aisha was still married to him by the time she was 18, it wasn't considered rape.

Now that's some tortured logic. How many times did Her Honor have to waterboard her statement before she came up with that little gem?
