"What’s going to happen to the children when there aren’t any more grown-ups?" Noel Coward's Question for the 21st Century

This unraveling has been coming a long time. The mob rampages in the larger cities is only hint of what is coming even sooner than we thought. It doesn't help that the press has its head so firmly up its ass that they won't talk about it except in the vaguest possible of terms.

Well what's the problem? Make abortion free and mandatory for all unwed mothers. Then there won't be any bastards for people to adopt the way my parents adopted me. I mean what would you want to adopt some little bastard for. Eew.

Again we see that what may be a solution in the microcosm becomes a vast problem in the macrocosm.

Don't let yourself become so easily stuck in the illusion of central position.

I don't see where the subject of abortion is mentioned anywhere in the article. What I do get out of the article is a rapid decline in our civilization as we once knew it. Also, since someone opened the door to the subject of abortion, I believe the decision is between the woman, her conscience and God.

what happens to the children after there are no grown ups (grups)? See Star Trek TOS episode "Miri"....the kids will turn the world into a cruel, Lord of the Flies culture.

Decrying unmarried births, while rejoicing gay marriage?!
Tsk tsk tsk....

I believe the decision is between the woman, her conscience and God.

Since you mentioned it: Actually, society has a urgent and vital interest in the matter as legalizing abortion has had the effect of de-sanctifying everyone's--everyone's--life in the interests of utility. That's why, for example, in about 10 years the state is going to find it laughably easy to refuse you, your kids, and your loved ones expensive health care services based on your age or on an actuary's assessment of your genetic composition. See how much control over 'your body' you have then.

And, please do not talk about God and murder in the same breath.

"And, please do not talk about God and murder in the same breath."

Very much agreed ahem, unless you say, "And God said, Thou shall not commit murder."

Love the song lyrics!

As for the delirium that proceeds, well, not everyone can be Noel Coward, I suppos, and wit and insight can't be expected from nutjobs who hallucinate that liberals are looking to increase welfare rolls and turn everyone gay.

Oh, well. I suppose the enraged right wing needs its nightmares. Otherwise they might have to concede that their endless rage really makes no sense and be forced to abandon it and then what would lend their lives meaning, since railing l against this or that progressive bogeyman seems to be the only "contribution" they can think up?

Let them rail. It keeps them busy while the creatives of the world are out building Tomorrow.
