I believe life on earth was initiated by a few spores or other biological entities that landed when a meteor struck. Those small biological chunks came from a planet that had a less strong gravitational pull on its inhabitants. That "sense" that we should be able to fly never disappeared from the our biological being. That's why we love thinking about flying so much. Haven't we all flown in our dreams? I bet even dogs dream of flying.
