In this scenario Julianne and hub only have one kid - that's not replacement level is it? And, unlike her mom, Julianne works while kid is in school, therefore not spending the time to transmit the kind of values that made things go well for her. Not a scenario we should optimize for. We need to do better. And we have options, but they are not going to make the dependent classes happy. We ought to go there anyway.
