"Americans, who tend toward the anarchic, have a wise fondness for rebellions"
Nonsense.
Americans are amongst the most compliant and obedient people on the planet.
look at the looting of the taxpayers on behalf of the banksters in the US and compare that to the actions of the Greeks or Spanish or the jailing of the politicians and bankers in Iceland.
Bunch of woosies.

"Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty..."
...and the price of eternal vigilance is, sadly, boredom.
Bill,
Yyou seem to speak as a socialist. What would you know of wussies (the preferred spelling), except perhaps to be one? Do the French now speak German? Do the English have a North American subject? Have the Iraqis the chance to determine their own fate, for good or bad?
Watch whom you call wussy, punk.

If you won't fight for what you believe, then you are worthless to any society.

Actually, they may have gotten it right in Singapore, which was given a more complicated set of challenges than Iceland.

Americans do not yet understand how much their ruling class hates them. Nor do they understand how deep the web of corruption and lies that keeps the regime in place runs.
