Might Want to Set Aside an Evening in November

With that roster of Commies, from Spielberg on down, I do not expect anything worthy of my time. And "based on" is a bad omen.

You lost me at "Tony Kushner."

They're looking for the 'historical' Lincoln, the way they seek the 'historical' Jesus and the 'historical' Palestine.

OBAMA PROPAGANDA SETUP, REMEMBER HE WANTS OR DID WANT TO BE JUST LIKE LINCOLN! WILL GIVE THE WANTONLY IGNORANT FODDER TO REACT WITH AND/OR STEAL THEIR MONEY BECAUSE WHAT'S LEFT...THEIR MINDS ARE ALREADY GONE. LOOK UP BIBLICAL MEANING OF WANTON, SCARY.

Daniel Day-Lewis. After seeing him in "There Will Be Blood" I can't wait to see what he does with this.

However, I suspect "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" will prove to be the better movie.

From the man who brought you Avatar.

Nope!

Are they going to trot out the "Lincoln was gay" meme? I think I'd rather watch him hunt vampires.

Instead of wondering what this lineup of leftoids will do to Lincoln, I am again reluctantly forced to consider what Lincoln has done for them.

Just wait. Ol' honest Abe will be talking about how some Americans have to give up some of their pie in order to be fair to all Americans. He'll get in a dig at the church, I bet. And just wait for the discussion of women's rights, affirmative action, social justice...
It'll be PC Lincoln- the president the left wishes they could have had.

A friend of mine plays one of Grant's officers as an extra. Spielberg liked his old-timey looks so he is going to get a bit of exposure. I think he even gets to stand next to the Flying Nun in one scene.

I remember Spielberg saying a few years back that he wanted to 'destroy the Lincoln myth' or words to that effect. Here it is.

Of course it won't be sold to us goofs with quite those words.

Didja hear that Spike Lee is remaking "Song of the South"?
Next up, "Birth of a Nation II".

When Spielberg gets through destroying the myths about him, we will discover that Lincoln actually shot Kennedy.

Whatever will be said, however it is filmed, it will be part of the new revisionism.

It will be a large part of how kids will come to understand American history. At least this little slice of it. who knows, parts of it may be very well done. It's just that parts of it may also be very puzzling and questionable.

Changing the past to control the future. It's what is in the water.

After watching Spielberg's "Saving Private Ryan" a dozen times, I have come to believe that this movie that was supposed to be a tribute to WWII soldiers had some very subtle "other things" going on in it too. In some ways realistic, in other ways kinda ridiculous.

Lincoln's not a hero to all of us.

Up next: Lenin: The Motion Picture.

Spielberg has become corrupt in the usual way: he asks himself, "what good is all this power if I can't use it to do good, to right wrongs, to change the world?"

Apparently, being a cracking-good storyteller is not enough. Now he wants to change you.

"In some ways realistic, in other ways kinda ridiculous."

All Spielberg films are in some way kinda ridiculous. I think he is like Obama: some kinda teenager.
