There won't be any white guilt, either, because we've had enough of this crap. I hope his defeat will become the defeat for Affirmative Action and quotas. I hope his defeat will be the end of the Marxist death grip on the education, press and entertainment industries. His defeat will be a cultural victory, whatever violence comes.
The country will gain a much better management team if Obama loses, and some minor changes around the margins, but that's about it.
Let's not forget that systematic racial preferences were introduced and promoted by the Nixon Administration. 'Their piece of the pie', as I believe it was called at the time. It is now a core organizing principle of both wings of the Establishment.
One of your most eloquent pieces. You put into words the profound disappointment I felt when Obama became the first black president. I had hoped the first black president would be an exceptional individual, one who would set a high bar for subsequent presidents of any race.
And instead we got "Al Sharpton in a nicer suit with a jump shot and a smooth side of blather."
his failure will inevitably be felt, mainly by his supporters, to reflect poorly on his race. It will be a false reflection
That's a lovely sentiment, but, sadly, one which does not track with 48 years of observed reality.
People say that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I say that books have covers in order to allow one to judge the contents in advance. This prejudice is an accurate means of determining the quality of a given book.
And, although even the worst publisher occasionally puts out a good book, it's a safe bet that any given volume released by a publisher of many bad books is also going to be bad.
Dr. King's dream turned out to be a nightmare. It is time for us to wake up and face reality as it is.
Prison Rules vs.Mayberry Rules. You owe nothing to people trying to break the system. You owe no explanation, you owe no civility, you owe them no warning.
You protect your stuff and you force them to do without theirs. Yet, even our most conservative venues spend the majority of their time discussing what the MSM decide is the topic of the day. Not one FOX viewer or Rush listener is unaware of the MSM outrage of the day.
Too often, we are like the kids in school that weren't in the popular group, and not really in the some other group but always and painfully aware of what the popular kids were doing and saying. For some reason even though we outnumber them we are desperate to get them to like us or respect us or agree with us. They are maggots unworthy of our concern beyond how to destroy their attack machines.
After Tuesday, all that is left to do is to be kind to the retard.
If Obama had the intellect of Fredrick Douglas and the soul of James Baldwin
It wouldn't matter. The skin may be black, but the cultural divide has now settled into the bone. The Monolith will reject the Other as an aberration-- and that would be the nicest epithet they'd hurl.
They see a black man or woman succeeding and they must needs assume that the race card is being used by such to gain access and favor, in order to rule over them, force them to slave for the American Dream. In some ways, nowadays, I can almost see their point.
Sadly, they of the Monolith are unaware of the nature of slavery, only the merits of outrage.
Each of the comments shines light on the divide except for Scott M. Each commenter would like to settle this without rancor or skirmish.
The problem is that race is the multiplier and the quotient is violence. There are no more Kings. Herman Cain was discarded.
What fills and shills for the dark side is Sharpton, Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Moochelle and the MSM plus the Bamster.
Hosea 8:7 calls the ball. And that resulting wind will contain hard objects exceeding the speed of sound.
One more item. What any force wants to do, would like to do, wishes and/or thinks to try does not obtain.
Every officer and senior NCO learns that it is "What CAN they do." That is the omega.
Apply that to the above comments and then seek the answers.
For what does Obama seek revenge?
For the outrageous refusal of others to accord him the fruits of success, without effort on his part beyond claiming they are his by right of pigmentation.
The good news is Obama hasn't thwarted the prospects of future African Americans to be president. He has only thwarted the prospects of future Democratic African Americans to be president.
There is a very disturbing trailer to Obama's Presidency. There will be a $1 coin struck with his mug on it. Talk about ruining a collection.
Keep this in mind: It is our side that values peace and quiet, not their side. They use our desire for P&Q against us by promising to disrupt it if we don't give in a little here and a little there. Don't comply with their new conditions and don't accept their new definitions. Don't try to explain anything to them. Just win and assume they are calling you the worst form of sub-human life, they are.
Also, even if they lose the election they have not changed their mind. They do not agree with us. The fight isn't over and we've only won the right to fight them more. The Left consolidates their power when they win or lose because they never go home and they never accept we have won. Their judges, bureaucrats, and staffers are always pushing their agenda without regard to who is in charge. If you let up after the election you are throwing away our victory. Never let a liberal speak in peace anywhere. Correct his lies and explain the certain consequences of his plan. If you keep quiet you are the problem.
More was expected from a Cook County hack?
Marvelous Gerard. You took the words right out of my mouth -- except that I wouldn't have been as eloquent. I have -- time and again -- referred to the rise of Obama as the ulimate revenge of affirmative action. But it is really the underlying philosphy behind AA that is at fault: the whole crazy claptrap of "fairness and justice and equality" that also gave us grade inflation, un-earned self-esteem, free birth control, equality of outcomes, etc. ad nauseam.
Biden and Reid were crass enough to betray their own twisted delight in finding a "clean, articulate negro" that didn't come across like Marion Barry, but had the same vile political underpinnings.
