Kids Today

...in outfits that would cold-cock a circus clown.

Pure Poetry.

I'm sure glad I raised my kids to at least appear sane. What you describe is just pure, pure horror.

We can still blame Dr. Spock, even though he recanted his childish assertions. The MSM took the useful idiot up into its designs for the nation's children. Now we have at least two generations of children who have no respect for the very first boundary of, "No!"

I remember my mother, she having borne nine children, scoff at the notion of never saying "no" to a child. She snorted, "Of course not. You should always say, 'no, NO!'

Joan - My wife bought Spock when our first was born in '56. She thought it was funny. She (with a little help from me) went ahead to raise six the way we had been raised. All are now personally and professionally successful middle-agers.

I'm reading this out loud to my children today.

When I was a child I thought it was a conspiracy among parents that the word “no” was so similar across so many different languages.
