Comments: The Cliff at the Edge of the Bottomless Pit

Good. Let the tax rate rise. In fact, let the rate be jacked up to 90%. Let there be an oil embargo, stagflation, rationing. Bring on the brownouts, the checkpoints, the midnight knocks, the cities on fire.

Politics don't matter to the sated. Only when Joe and Jane Sixpack are made to suffer will real change be possible.

Remember, John Boehner thought the fiscal cliff was a better idea than not letting Obama above the old debt limit. If Boehner was on Obama's team how could we tell?

Boehner converted the prior situation from Obama needed GOP support to spend more money into one where unless they reach a deal there will be defense cuts and rising taxes. Nobody trying to help his party or his country would take that deal. Of course, voters who thought their country or party were important would tolerate Boehner in charge of anything. GOP voters are the battered wives of politics.

No big deal.

The President is on schedule to bring about fundamental change.

There is absolutely no excuse to be surprised by what is unfolding in Washington, DC.

But But But when Bush was president the tax cuts were a bonanza for the rich and a pizza a week for Joe Sixpack. Wha Hoppen.

What happened to everyone paying their fair share? Tax the 47% slackers for their portion.

Robert is right. Large doses of pain the a wonderful curative for socialism.
