Comments: Ross Perot

No, sir, Mr. Perot. Big taxes mean big government, one too big for its britches.

"That's one for you, nineteen for me.....

..... Should five percent appear too small, be thankful I don't take it all.....

'Cause I'm the Tax Man, ohhh I'm the Tax Maaaaan, and you're working for no one but meeeeeeee....."

Granted, we're not in quite those straits yet, but we have too many people right now who want to see us there. It's all about fairness, doncha know.

Out of context, if you pay big tax, means you earn big money.

Perot and I are alumni of the same high school (Texarkana Texas High School, Class of '47 and '83 respectively). His folks were the richest people in town.

It's worth noting that to this day our school has no Perot Band Hall, no Perot Science Building, no Perot Collection at the library, and no Perot Scholarship for college-bound teens.

And that's okay. His money is his to do with as he pleases.

Make of this what you will.

Perot made most of his money off government contracts related to computer systems supporting medicare and other big government services pushed by LBJ. He owns a lot of real estate that has special privileges under us export/import laws aka Free Trade Zones or FTZs which allow manufacturers in them special privileges. No wonder he was against NAFTA. He entered the presidential race in 1992 as a spoiler against Bush and siphoned off the Bush votes giving Clinton a win. He sold EDS to GM and his Perot systems firm failed. And let's not forget all the "hit teams" out to get his kids. LOL. He is famous in DFW computer world for his simplistic approach to systems design and corporate strategy. We still tell jokes about his simpleton solutions. He is a big time overblown crony rich spoiled nut. His only trick was securing overpriced government contracts. That is it.

My daddy - an up-from-his-bootstraps kind of guy if there ever was one - used to tell me the same thing when he was paying his taxes, in his better years.

It is rumored there was a war long ago revolving around the idea of no taxation without representation. To the "progressive" mind this means nine wolves and one goat voting what to have for dinner.

To me, a progressive tax is one where 50k pays 5k and 500k pays 50k. That is perversion enough. But with an income tax, you can never have enough perversion.

"Be assured that if this new provision be engrafted in the Constitution, it will, in time, change the entire structure and texture of government, and sweep away all the guarantees of safety devised and provided by our patriotic Sires of the Revolution"-
Orville Browning, US Senator, 1881

I have to agree with Rush Limbaugh ... these rich guys all publicly declare they need to be taxed more in an effort to lessen themselves as a target.

Remember how they went after Bill Gates several years ago? And, then he started the Gates Foundation and then he had that big circle jerk with fellow billionaire Warren Buffet. Bill Gates still has his billions but now his fellow elitists leave him alone. These days they are all worried about becoming targets for the grand international socialist experiment.

Ross Perot - the man that ran third party and gave us BJ Bill Clinton. He received 18 % of the vote and then dropped out of politics because of a daughter's wedding. The man motivated by hatred for the Bushes and not concern for Americans.
Perhaps he is not as pathologically narcissistic as
BO, but ........
