But they are on their parent's health care plans until they are 26 years old. Gotta be some consolation in that.

The blog is based on an NYT article. Usually, they only notice the homeless during Republican administrations.

I feel sorry enough for myself, but these young people entering the "work force" will be set back, and it may take years for them to recover any footing. May effect their whole lives.

I would advise them to live simply, and do what they feel called to do in their souls. Compensation? Not so much. But, they will find some internal solace.

The interesting thing to me is the picture as an illustration of how the Democratic party turned Herbert Hoover (whose major mistake was his half-assed attempt at Keynesian economics) into a scapegoat, and then hung him, like an albatross, around the neck of the Republican party for the next 50 years.

Note how... professional... the sign is, and think about how that comports with the premise of the picture.

If the GOP weren't the Stupid Party, they would be exploiting this army of young homeless. Instead the Democrats will, and blame the Republicans for all their woes.

A revived energy sector unencumbered by EPA and Interior Dept. sabotage would be able to absorb a large chunk of these young people. GOP politicians and operatives might want to consider becoming intermediaries between the young homeless and the energy sector. But that would require them to be clued in to the real world.
