Had the same feelings as an air transport pilot back in the '50s and '60s. it was the best we could do back then, because space ships hadn't been invented yet.

Profound stuff from a meritoriously privileged vantage point. But from the perspective of the chaos beneath the stratosphere, it merely emphasises the sad fact that we have wasted a chance to crack the Universal Code and ensure life everlasting for humanity. We blew it. Cowardice caused us to crap out.

How does a "thinker" differentiate himself from these other types? Perhaps by the coating of banality he can overlay on perfectly exquisite views of earth (although all are capable of this repetitious trivia spouting).

And what's with the Ed Harris beanie? Perhaps he views himself as Christof.
