I was missing the Faber Blackwing 602, until I discovered the Palomino Blackwing, which is a mighty fine replacement.

Random thoughts:

1. While some of my friends consider me a denizen of the backwaters for not owning a smartphone, I in turn am always amazed to find that people still use wooden pencils in these modern times. (I have been using the mechanical type for decades.)

2. That said, a wooden pencil works better in the video than a mechanical one would.

3. The narrator notes how there is no one in charge of managing all the steps in making pencils. He also says that the world will keep on getting better as long as everyone's creativity is allowed to flourish. Well, expect Obama and the Dems and the Central PLanning Committee to put a stop to *that* as soon as they find out about it!
