It might be because my momma is from that milieu, but I now reckon that mid-century American women were the apotheosis of feminine grace and virtue. And it's been an inglorious long-way-downhill slide ever since. We really don't know what ve've got till it's gone. Even Paul Newman with his adoring gaze forever on Joanne Woodward agrees.

The M1922 Springfield trainer she's practicing with is probably worth +/-$1200 when you can find one. Neat little rifles they are.
