Cut It. Out.

"Cut it out".

Okay.

They're cutting us out just fine. My company relies heavily on government contracts/customers. They're pretty much all gone. As of yesterday, so are most of our employees.

Thanks for the heaping helping of nothing, you fucking scum.

Creating heaven on earth...standard progressive gibberish. A corporatists dream.

- A corporatists dream.

Precisely. And that's a critical point.

This near-soliloquy was intended to caricature and criticize "unbridled" capitalism and quest for "profit"; it's close to the same B.S. propaganda that was broadcast in "Wall Street".

Does anybody understand "Andy's" complaint, and whom it is directed at? I don't.

I was wondering who it was directed at, too, Don.

Venting can be good. I hope he feels better. :)

Ironically, in that segment from "Network," the Ned Beatty character was far more morally correct than the Peter Finch character, despite being portrayed as some sort of aspiring evil demigod. Business -- capitalism -- the market economy is the one and only thing that has ever improved anyone's material lot above bare subsistence, or ever will. Still, that doesn't confer a permanent state of grace on any particular business or corporation.

This is why I don't donate my money to Hollywood communists who hire bohemian communists to write marxist screeds for communists actors to tell me what I should think and do. I also don't donate my time to hearing or watching what these people do.

Nobody should use movies and TV as shortcuts to thinking or knowing. It's all fiction from somebody's viewpoint. You don't need to keep track of every item in the "news." The desire to stay up to date will funnel you into some professional manipulator's money-making scheme.

Know a few things deeply and suspect what you are told until it's proven to be accurate and consistent with other truths.

What I know is that in 1972, Ned Beatty was on his hands and kness squealing like a pig at the behest of a degenerate backwoods Georgia sodomite. Four years later, he's a master of the universe laying down the law to a network anchorman.

Now that's a hell of a comeback!!
