A Tale of Two Systems

Special ed, special needs, special olympics, special prosecutor. I'm old enough to remember when 'special' didn't mean pathetic.

If ever a hand was overplayed, this was it. The good people of Sanford appear to have seen right through it. That's what counts.

.

I was honestly surprised that it wasn't manslaughter. That was the easy way out. But the jury was stronger than I expected. Glad to say I was wrong.

Maybe this is a turning point in our deliberately poisoned, tribalistic, us-vs-them race relations. After OJ was acquitted, I began to wonder if American justice had morphed into a popular, media-orchestrated, unjust form of "justice".

Obama got a bit of a well-deserved comeuppance, too.

True, all true, prosecutors are scumbags. Corey is a great example. Add her sex in, and anything she does is right in her mind. I work with several women just like her. The fellow who tried the case is just a rank opportunist, and willing to whore himself for the next step up the ladder. No doubt he's be the next States Attorney in that district.

Something else that was missed. I've lived within fifty miles of Sanford. Sanford ain't Miami. The shit behavior they get away with down there doesn't travel North well.

I watched most of the dueling news conferences put on by the respective attorneys last night after the verdict was released, and if there is anyone more egregious than that Angela Corey, I have yet to meet her. She makes "smarmy" sound like a compliment.

He is right, two systems failed him. Moreover, they often fail us, especially the press. Want a recent example of the quest for sensationalism on steroids - how about the erroneous release of the Korean pilots names by the California TV station. I am, on the other hand, buoyed by the fact that guilt beyond a reasonable doubt is the standard that US juries abide by.

Unfortunately this will be a Pyrrhic victory. The mob reaction and ensuing mayhem, violence and death; the lines drawn harder; strikes and counter-strikes with an increasing body count including collateral damage to bystanders and neighbors ...

The soft damage will be through the MSM: civil lawsuits against the poor shmoe and whoever else they can tack on; Black racist agitators and agents provocateurs getting fat on the carrion and gathering Sha Chi; lots of civil unrest.

this also provides an "Oh, look, a rabbit!" distraction from the finances, Mideast, data spying, health care, all the other catastrophic failures of the current administration.

Alinsky's playbook, masters' level.

"Avoid crowds" is not a cliché.

An unspoken danger in this fiasco is the continued erosion in the Peoples' faith in their most fundamental institution - the legal system

When critical mass is reached, when enough decent folk see that the courts and "laws" are rigged for class benefit, and for dispensations of the connected and the rich, it's ThunderDome Time

The current devolved FedGov and it's operatives in the courts, mediatainment and education have power because the Productive Class still go along with it.

When that reflex deference evaporates, god help the Left, because no one else will. They don't deserve help.

This headline from Drudge but it's splashed all over. Good lapdogs, the media, like curs sniffing roadkill.

"Obama Responds to Zimmerman Verdict: 'Stem the Tide of Gun Violence'--For Trayvon"

Let the spin begin.

"Oh, look ... a rabbit!"

The RACE card has expired. And they refused to consider the outcome when it finally expired and was no longer accepted at establishments where they expected special treatment. It is unfortunate that politicians and the media are the last to get it.

'Stem the Tide of Gun Violence'--For Trayvon

If it weren't for "gun violence", Zimmerman would be dead.

Watching the dueling news conferences I saw a team that spoke with intelligence, and measured concision, and a group of marginally competent, politically greasy buffoons who it appears must only win cases by dint of having the full weight and resources of the state at their disposal.

The contrast could hardly have been more stark.

Though it must be said, the Skittles brand got a boost.

This doesn't seem to be taking off in the popular culture. I mean the usual suspects are yelling and waving their arms around but its not taking hold anywhere else. People aren't that unhappy about the verdict, even if they disagree with it.

For all their claims of non-judgementalism, liberals love to judge great swaths of society. Multiculturalism, racism, feminism, etc. are all leftist judgement against historical wrongs allegedly perpetrated by evildoers. Individualist-minded conservatives, who judge by the content of individual character, have a really difficult time understanding the the indictments of a unified left against their kind.

Liberalism most certainly does not embrace the Judeo-Christian value that "The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son".

The media is simply bemoaning the fact that if Trayangel had just been allowed to spread Zimmerman's brains on the sidewalk they wouldn't have had to work and report anything at all.
