Making Thunderbirds: "The big line moved one mile an hour / So loud it really hurt "

What a weird coincidence: just today i was thinking about that line "You're lucky if you work"...
When you have teenagers these days you have to be thinking about what they're gonna do to work, since there's so few jobs... and here in socal if you don't speak spanish there's hardly ANY. God what a difference from when i grew up...

I was talking to my brother yesterday and telling him how sad I feel about what has become of Detroit. My home town, the place I grew up and the auto industry that was so good to me and my family over the years. I'm so grateful that I was there in those days to experience and work in that wonderful industry that gave a kid from 23rd and Bagley (inner city) an opportunity to move from there into an affluent mid-class with all the benefits I still enjoy today. Now there are so few jobs that young people like I was back in the sixties have very little chance to even find a real job. God what a sad difference from when I grew up.
