Although I'd had it saved to Netflix (release date: Unknown); serendipitously, the DVD "Under African Skies" was included in the copy of "Graceland" borrowed from the library.
What a treat.
How interesting, too, was Paul Simon's quiet deterrmination not to submit to Harry Belafonte's request he seek permission/approval of the African National Congress
before going to South Africa to play music with local bands. Or to acquiesce to demands by their political arm not to tour with exiled South African musicians.
What wonderful irony that he and his group were asked to play in South Africa after the A.N.C. came in to power.
