When I was young and in college I was a liberal and we railed against a government who sent us to foreign no-win wars, invaded our privacy, taxed us too much, and in general intruded into our free American way of life. Now the "liberals" want more government encroachment, more government programs, stifling of free speech, and a socialist/communist/totalitarian government that responds to Muslims, LGBTs, illegal aliens, abortionists, welfarists, and splinter groups rather than the mainstream American public. WTF?

Kind of OT but not totally. I believe we've seen this movie before and it doesn't leave a warm and fuzzy feeling.

NO. They demand fascism. They implement fascism. They just fight fascism run by someone other than liberals. Liberalism is fascism. Pretending liberals don't know what they are doing or the bad consequences are an unavoidable by-product of unforeseen circumstances is the usual conflict-avoiding that leaves conservatives hiding inside their gated-communities fantasizing about what it would be like if they had courage.

Don't forget how important it was to first get gun registration then confiscation in order to make it possible to round people up. If everyone of the 6 million jews had a gun then Hitler would be a footnote in history.

The Soviets lost 20 million in WWII because Stalin executed his talented Generals. Stalin sacrificed whole regions of Russia to the Nazis as a delaying tactic. Stalin had Officers shoot Soviet troops in the back if they would not walk into battle against Nazi armor units. Remember who conspired with Hitler and began WWII, why I think his name was Stalin.

The only difference between the Soviets and the Nazis was a violent disagreement about who would ultimately control state socialism. Nazis thought ultimate authority for it must remain in each state's capitol. The Soviets thought and fought to make Moscow the ultimate authority over all socialist states. WWII would have been a success if only every last Nazi had killed every last Communist, no matter how many millions that boosted the body count.

Much is still heard about the 6 million Jews, but very little about the millions of non-Jews, who also died by the hands of Nazis and Communists. Were they not human beings as well?
