Never have I heard Hans Zimmer so subdued.

Into this World, and why not knowing,
Nor whence, like Water willy-nilly flowing:
And out of it, as Wind along the Waste,
I know not whither, willy-nilly blowing.

Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam XXIX.

I've never been to Holland. I had no idea that there were any wilderness preserves there.
If you told me this was shot on the upper Missouri in eastern Montana I would have been totally fooled, the scenery is so similar.
Thanks for adjusting my perspective.

Having once lived in Montana and North Dakota I agree with Stuart that it does have a similar appearance. According to Google Maps the preserve is only about 1 mile by 2 miles in size. And I would guess it has been reclaimed from the sea.

The Oostvaardersplassen is not a rehabilitated natural area. It is land reclaimed in 1968 from a former inland sea named De Zuiderzee, and part of an area now called Flevoland.
As a habitat for larger grazing animals, it is a disgrace. A 1000 die of starvation each year in this fenced area, and management by the government is piss-poor.
