Coming Soon to a Nation Near You

gerard, I am glad to see you writing that both parties are the enemy, that both party's politicians are statists. Too many people think that one party is better than the other when both parties merged a long time ago.

Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.

The parties don't consist solely of the elected office seekers. If both parties merged, why is the permanent bureaucracy overwhelmingly colonized by Democrats? No one is talking about factions threatening to break up the Democrats, just the Republicans.

I'm not simply contradicting you, Potsie, I just think that one can still distinguish between the two. I also think the Republicans are bound to go the way of the Whigs, and the Democrats are something one swears an oath to support and defend the Constitution from when one enlists.

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a fascist state. The first is the most important.

1) Healthcare – Control healthcare and you control the people
2) Poverty – Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
3) Debt – Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control – Remove the ability for citizens to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare – Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)
6) Education – Take control of what people read and listen to – take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion – Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools
8) Class Warfare – Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Does any of this sound like what is happening to the United States ?

Jimmy, I think the Middle Class will be the most vocal in clamoring for facism, to protect what they think they will lose.

The poor have little, and expect the government to "do" for them.
The rich can pay for protection and special access, and the true "rich" are really less than 1-2% of the population.

But the Middle Class are always afraid of losing what they have made (like me), and many will naively support facism thinking that this will protect them.

At this point, I think most of us will probably die poor if we are unlucky to live that long.

Are you ready to hate, yet? It's a nice complement to the sick feeling I get when I look at him.

Missed one - through the seizure of "healthcare", previously known as insurance, employers are now encouraged to ensure that employees now work Missed one - through the seizure of "healthcare", previously known as insurance, employers are now encouraged to ensure that employees now work

Oddly enough, in many states this part time occupation now makes the under-employed ineligible for unemployment, when the inevitable layoff occurs.

And it will. Occur.

try again, this time w/o left chevron:

Missed one - through the seizure of "healthcare", previously known as insurance, employers are now encouraged to ensure that employees now work less than full time

Oddly enough, in many states this part time occupation now makes the under-employed ineligible for unemployment, when the inevitable layoff occurs.

And it will. Occur.

A nation of slackers has finally found a man they can relate to.

Are you sure the Democrats swear to "defend" the Constitution? Shouldn't it be swearing to "fundamentally transform the country and ignore the Constitution"? There seems to be a lot of that going around, and the Majority leader in the Senate seems non-plussed {wow. used that word} about how the power of Congress is being usurped by the Executive. There are two routes to curbing an excessive Executive. Congressional function, impeachment & trial, and the courts. The former is destined to fail as Reid is Barry's butt boy, and the latter seems to evade Congress' grasp at every opportunity.

Where in hell did they get so many choom shots? I think there is one picture of me in college days. Maybe Barry was posing for his room mate?

When a man or woman is sworn into service, it is to the Constitution, and against enemies foreign and domestic. What Mike James meant was that these are the sort of "domestic" enemies that they were sworn to defend the Constitution and Republic from.
