If you look at a election map all the blue areas are the wealthiest parts of the country. Never let a democrat tell you that republicans are the party of the rich, it simply isn't true.

I think it was on Mises that I was reading how the left is always using non-capitalists as examples to tell us how bad capitalists are.

As Chesterton said, the defining mark of the aristocracy is that they so readily embrace the progressive.

Hayek and Garrett wrote that capitalist were possessed of a talent, not a philosophy, and were just as likely if not more so to be socialist than others. Academics discovered and categorized capitalism after capitalist had already done what came naturally to them.

It is a good thing that billionaire capitalist pay low taxes, even socialist billionaires. It is a bad thing they think others should pay high taxes.

I am increasingly drawn to the idea that a free republic is impossible with an income tax of any kind, including a capital gains tax.
