If they fool a guy he's got some serious issues in the cognition department.
I lived in San Francisco in the (pre-AIDS) '70s, and I met, more than most people do, transsexuals of every variety. There was never a doubt, ever, that something was seriously awry here.

Even though I can cut off my penis, attach it to my nose, rub my ass raw with sandpaper, and live in a tree it doesn't make me a Proboscis Monkey. And I wouldn't expect special rights from my government for "finding" myself and to protect me from harassment.

Or Thailand. But no matter how attractive Thai katoeys were, (real) women could pick them out every time. A few guys I knew weren't so skillful, and had awkward surprises when they took them back to their hotel rooms.
It's hard to believe that Bruce Jenner won an Olympic gold medal in the decathlon. Before he became a crash-test dummy for plastic surgeons.
