Comments: $79 billion and 20 years later, no scientific correlation between man's activity and global warming.
For the people who say they are environmentalists: think how much permanent wildlife habitat could have been purchased for 79 billion. You could have bought thousands of square miles of Amazon rain forest, tiger habitat in India, and more. Instead you bought Al Gore a private jet and several large energy-wasting houses.

And yet, 79 billion is still not enough. The DOE is "back in business", and has $4 billion in loan guarantees for more Solyndras. Al Gore is still laughing all the way to the bank.

Well, we pay half again as much for motor fuels that are less energy dense than they could be, but at least we are pricing half of the world's poor out of our corn crop!

It could have stayed in the possession of the people that owned it.
The people that spent that $79bil should be the one's to pay for it. Off with their nutz, then chain em to the wheel. When their debt is satisfied their chains will be lifted.

Think of what $79 billion more in ordinary Americans' pockets would have done for their quality of life. It got misspent because it got handed over to frauds and thieves.
