Comments: And, of all pleasures, art is the highest, most refined, and most divine.

As long as we are mixing metaphors so eloquently let me say that my uncle Louie Lozko, we all called him "Letsgo Lozko", he raised bantam chickens.
None of them knew art but they knew what they liked. Cows? What do they know? None of the chickens wept over a sunset but they were partial to John Philip Sousa's music. None of them ever went on a honeymoon.

Beauty and art is a glimpse of the transcendent, it is a tiniest sliver of an eyeblink at the divine, showing us what we are meant to be near and to be with. True beauty brings us closer to God, and as such modern secularist, naturalist man is truly uncomfortable with and even fearful of beauty while longing for and delighting in it in spite of themselves.
