I would argue that not most, not even many Muslims want to do these things, but it doesn't matter. Because enough do, and they're the ones that are driving the religion these days.

Yeah, it's the 'moderate' Muslims here in America that have committed honor killings, not the radicals. Let us not blame the wrong people.

Steyn is missing the point re the Syrian men, their rendezvous with death, their shahadah, and the "... fat lot of good it did."
Those Syrians achieved their goal of dying in jihad, which to their minds ensured them life in paradise. That's better than living in this world! If you understand that, you understand what 99.99% of our government folk do not understand. Our enemy wants to die in jihad!

@VC -- You have it exactly right. The radicals ARE the peaceful ones since they depart from the Koran's exhortations to kill unbelievers in Koran, Allah, and Mohammed. These "radicals" are considered apostates by the orthodox --the believers in unabrogated Koran, Sira, Hadith, Sharia.

Simply put, orthodox Islam is a death and murder cult. The orthodox are the followers of the unalterable, unabrogated Koran, and its perfect example to be emulated, Mohammed. Mohammed -- pedophile, rapist, serial torturer and murderer.
Mohammed's actions and comments are recorded in the orthodox Sira and Hadith -- accepted as true by all the main schools of Islamic jurisprudence. Check Bill Warner's site 'Political Islam' if you want a copy of the Koran in its chronological format demonstrating which parts abrogate preceding parts.

Really? Learn Muslim prayers? I don't think so.
The only solution for the Muslim threat is to kill every last one of them, their families, their friends, their neighbors; to lay waste to their crop lands and salt their wells, to destroy their buildings such that no two stones lay atop one another.
The justification, if one is needed, is that the Muslims are Evil. The paradigm in which we all repose dictates that some things are good, some bad, and some Evil.
Instead of cowering and hoping that it won't happen near us we should be fire-bombing Baghdad and other concentrations of Muslim terrorists. Can't find 'em? Enlarge the target area.
