As long as the fools in DC believe we need to follow the Geneva Convention guidelines when fighting those not signatories, we're going to be on the losing end.

Tell the civilians that if they stay near combatants they'll be treated as combatants.

Tell the rest of the world there will be nothing considered collateral damage once the above notice is given.

then eliminate every living thing in the free fire zone. No prisoners. Keep driving them into smaller and smaller areas. Accept no surrender.

I used to think this was fanciful.

Now it look inevitable.

You know those squiggles in that white circle, Gerard; you got it saying "Allah is the messenger of Mohammed." Now was that simply an honest error on your part or was it part of a fiendishly clever disinformation campaign aimed at your hard core Muslim readers?

Just to keep things straight -- the squiggle that looks like a rattlesnake poised to strike, that's the Arabic squiggle for Mohammed. Coincidence?

Hmm, allah rasul muhammad. I've never seen it written that way before either.

First one on Raqaa, the Caliphate's capital. Then tell the Arab states we'll watch to see what they'll do to quell the problem, and if we feel the need for further encouragement, it won't be just one.

The percentage of easily led followers is appalling.
Yes, the planet needs to be dissolved.
After a million years passes maybe the next evolved virus will be a little more successful.

The only solution for the Muslim threat is to kill every last one of them, their families, their friends, their neighbors;
to lay waste to their crop lands and salt their wells, to destroy their buildings such that no two stones lay atop one another.
The justification, if one is needed, is that the Muslims are Evil.
Instead of cowering and hoping that it won't happen near us we should be fire-bombing Baghdad and other concentrations of Muslim terrorists.
Can't find 'em? Enlarge the target area.

Collateral damage? Every time some unfortunate guy gets beheaded and the video goes viral?
Really, collateral damage? You're worried some kids or old people are gonna get killed?
When they kill one of ours, we kill one hundred of theirs.

Congrats GVL on the Instalanche.

There will be a war with Islam, whether you want it or not, whether we start it or not. Afghanistan should have been vaporized on Sept 12 as an example to the others. That may have prevented the future nuke war, but it certainly would not have allowed Osama to escape.

Scott M - You are quite wrong. There will not be a war with Islam, for the very good reason that there already is one. Which has been going on for close to 1400 years now, and the only end to it will be the total defeat of one or the other side. For Islam cannot reform; its own "holy" book won't allow it and re-interpreting it is punishable by death.

I also disagree with the idea that Afghanistan should have been vapourised on 9/12. It should have been two, maybe three, places and all of them in Saudi Arabia. The uncertain one being Riyadh.

Incidentally, when I say "vapourised" I mean just that. Airbursts would not have been enough; what was needed was to scatter the dust of the Black Stone to the four winds.

Big, dirty, ugly groundbursts - the biggest in the arsenal. That's what would have done the job.

Fletcher: I agree. Sadly we missed our best shot. We should have nuked Mecca and Medina on 9/12/2001.

Write another post, won't you, about how childhood is special. Except for, you know, those children consumed in the nuclear fireball you would use to consume ISIS. Those children don't count. Because they are all my special wards that I have raised up from planeria.

I'm thinking India and/or China will probably nuke ISIS before ISIS get their hands on Pakistani nukes.
