The good news, if we live to see it, is that when Islamism fails, the Muslims will have nothing more fundamental to justify their continued avoiding of responsibility for their own failures. They, with help from various malign movements, have embraced every bad idea of the 20th Century. They have failed at pan-Arab socialism, monarchism, and war lordism. But, it's possible they will find they need to return to polytheistic idol worship to explain the influence of jinns and evil spirits that has caused them to fail.

I think the Saudis, whose king and princes owe their power and position to Wahhabist radicals, have put more than a little money into leftist organizations to help buy a little good will.
