Comments: Real science doesn’t make you feel smart. Fake science does.
This goes under the category of "things I wish I'd written." Very well stated and accurate. The "I f'in love science" crowd doesn't love SCIENCE, they love scientific-sounding support for their worldview and sciencey-seeming things that bash their ideological enemies.

I believe it was Asimov (I might be wrong) that said scientific discovery didn't come with a shout of "Eureka" but with"That's funny?"
