The evidence that the government does not consider the rule of law binding upon it and its agents is mounting rapidly.
Why should I consider the rule of law binding on me? One set of laws for the subjects and another set for the ruling class is tyranny.

If the government continues to treat the citizenry as their enemy they should not be surprised if the citizenry comes to believe them.
