Gruberade from Concentrate

WH paid him $400,000 for his work.

How much did Mitt pay him for the same work, the same lies?

Gruber is political ebola now.

Joan - Mitt didn't work in a vacuum in MA. That State has a legislature and they were just as instrumental there as Pelosi & Reid were at the federal level. In fact, they threatened to override the elements Mitt preferred to eliminate via line item veto.

It's tempting - and even natural, in the Progressive era of government - to hang things like CommieCare and ObamaCare on presidents and governors, and even individual turds like Gruber. But the fact is that this sort of nonsense is systemic breakdown in government itself, not caused by lone wolves and wannabe emperors taking unilateral action.

Meanwhile, the fact is that "the same basic, successful pattern in MA" Gruber refers to here is one where THE OTHER 56 STATES COVERED 50% OF THE PROGRAM'S COST. No one in the media EVER called this shmuck on that little factoid, or explained how this was going to be resolved at the federal level.

All-in-all, we would have been far, FAR better off with the Heritage proposal from back in 1989 - you know... the one the left tried to blame when it became obvious that Obama lied, and that you could NOT necessarily keep your plan. In fact, that proposal could still be implemented with mostly cosmetic changes to PPACA. But the insurance companies and the AMA are running this show now. So that's not very likely.

"Political conflicts are merely surface manifestations. If conflicts arise you may be sure that certain powers intend to keep the conflicts under operation since they hope to profit from the situation. To concern yourself with surface political conflicts is to make the mistake of the bull in the ring, you are charging the cloth. That is what politics is for, to teach you the cloth. Just as the bullfighter teaches the bull, teaches him to follow, obey the cloth." — W. S. Burroughs

So we are distracted with personalities and talking heads while non-elected minions put together deals with consequences that come due years later.

Follow the money. That about got it?

Yeah Massachusetts is SO SUCCESFUL thatthe federal government has to subsidize it over a billion a year. Those subsidies may stop because they were put in place so that it would hide the faults of this plan until Obamacare could be implemented. Once those subsidies are gone the people of Massachusetts are in for a %1 billion tax increase.
