These are the same wretches whose far bolder and more justified elders said "imagine if it was a man in that woman's place, how would you feel about it then?" and were wise to do so.

Yet today, if you said "what if it was a woman who was attacked for her clothing and had to give a sobbing apology, how would you react?" they simply disregard it as irrelevant.

He's probably never met this kind of hostility, hate, and bitterness in his life before. It can be very shocking and hard to deal with, I'll give him a break for this one.
