Comments: About Woodpile Report

A weekly staple, already sorely missed.

In this time of failures and horrors, we can draw hope and solace from those who came before us and offered us:

From a 1991 interview [57 minutes] with Oren Lyons, a chief of the Turtle Clan of the Onondaga Nation, a part of the Iroquois Confederacy. Lyons speaks of the Iroquois Confederacy's contribution to our Constitution and the criticality of maintaining a spiritual center.
Guaranteed to take the dents out of your heart and remove a lot of madness from your mind.
I'd say it's a tribute to Ol' Remus as well.

Another fan of Woodpile, found only six months ago, I believe from a link here. Will the older pages, not archived, be found in the Wayback Machine? Lots of wisdom to be found there, if so.

What an icon of information, speculation, and just dang good reading.
Ol Remus will be missed, but I'll think fondly on him walking through the hills and dells of the Appalachians on most every Tuesday ~ wishing I could trail along with him. It would be an honor.
