Comments: Conservatives are the loyal running-dogs of the left

I agree that far too often, conservatives, or those calling themselves conservative, are far too ready to embrace what the left said, just not as early as the left. They'll disagree until 10 years have passed or so, then sign on as a symbol of their good nature. They wait until it becomes a cultural norm, then climb on board.

In other words, they're driven far more by culture and society than principle. They aren't conservative because they hold to a conservative worldview, but because they are slow to adapt things.

Principle for them is a finger in the air checking the wind direction. Being out of step with the group is worse than wearing the wrong stripe tie.

They are only liberal with other people's stuff.
They are very conservative with their own stuff.
Just like little kids that need their asses wailed.
