Comments: “Conservative Votes, Liberal Victories.”

Because they want to be liked. Which won't ever happen. They're like the pimply faced third grade girl with picket fence teeth or the constantly running shot not boy. They need to stop trying to be the BMOC and get on with being the Class Nasty.

Maybe they have the 'dirt' on our esteemed speaker. I'd love to see what the dirt is. It must be really bad to make you publicly lie and betray every principle you ever claimed to have held. Oh wait, we're talking about a member of congress. What principles? Never mind...

It's sad and disappointing that so many people still think, in spite of all the contrary evidence spanning decades, that the politicians are for their benefit.

I misspoke.

They don't "think", they "feel" or they "believe". For if they did think they'd come to the same conclusion many other people already have.

The politicians are in it for themselves, just like everybody else is, and as long as the easily led minions continue to "feel and believe" as they do they, the politicians, will continue to win.

And the minions will continue to lose.

This isn't rocket surgery and never was.
You get what you deserve, and hopefully good and hard.

Why is it so many otherwise well informed and thoughtful pundits make the fundamental error of confusing "Republican" with "conservative?" Very, very few actual conservatives get elected to national office.

^^ ...or populists either, since Eisenhower.

Liberals are activists and conservatives are passive-ists. We use 2 excuses for inaction. 1) our victory is certain, so we need not act. 2) our defeat is assured, so we need not act.

Recently position #2 is being replaced by "we are doomed, so we need only wait."

Because WE are minutely aware of others' opinion of us we think others will change if they know we disapprove of them. The Left is immune from public opinion, but especially the opinion of their enemies.

If you want to keep America you have to fight and win and force your views on your enemy. That's what elections are about, they always have been. Standing around hoping that your enemy won't impose on you because you wouldn't impose on him is EXACTLY how we got into this mess.

I live now in an open primary area. It was very enlightening the first time. My mailbox filled up with flyers from a whole bunch of down-and-out guys looking for a payday. If you read very carefully, you could pick out the codewords that said (D) or (R), but for the most part all the flyers studiously said the same damn vanilla pap. There was one way to distinguish, though. A few of the flyers said "endorsed by Boss Tweed and Pendergast", and that's how the Free Shit Army finds out which appointed dirty apparatchik to vote for.

For the next 18 months the (R)'s in Congress are going to wring their hands and tell us there's nothing they can do, so we have to bend over and take it from all of them. And then they are suddenly going to switch and for six months tell us that we can't possibly vote for the (D)'s or it will be so much worse.

The entire, f'n FedGov, every one drawing a check from Uncle, is a c-f of malignant traitors to our Constitution.
