The Daily Routines of Famous Creative People

The way I see this, if I model my life style after some of these people I will become creative and famous. Oh, and rich.
I don't see my uncle Letsgo Lozko's name up there, but he always shied away from publicity.
He was vastly creative, designing and patenting no less than eight different styles of chicken coop, one portable.
As to fame, just ask anyone in the neighborhood of seventy-ninth and Stoney Island Av. They all knew his name.

I can see that my need for 8 1/2 hours of sleep a night is what has kept me away from greatness.

I'm interested in Robert A, Heinlein. He's not listed.

Been struggling with this for the last several years, Gerard.

Main focus of my life, really.

In my opinion: For Creativity/Play to be maximized, all necessary work needs to be addressed in algorithm form:

(Still knocking out the kinks)

From Highest to Lowest Priority:
1.Sleep
2.Food - 4-5 meals relatively evenly spaced between 3-5 hours between 300 to 400 calories.
3.Necessary Work: Day-Job/Side-Job/Mundane tasks
4.Creativity/play/Leisure

Daily Construct (6 days):

---Startup block of time takes no more than 1 hour---
Sleep Minimum 8 hours (always have planned 9 hours)
Wake up
First Meal
Shower

--- 3-5 hour block of time ---
Necessary-Work OR Creative/Playtime
--- 3-5 hour block of time ---
Necessary-Work OR Creative/Playtime
--- 3-5 hour block of time ---
Necessary-Work OR Creative/Playtime

--- Shutdown block of time takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours ---
Last Meal
Shower
Sleep

-----------------------------

When the Necessary-Work of the day is complete, the Creative/Playtime is 'anythinggoes' and the rigid structure of hte day may be discarded (not necessarily a good idea - especially if its a 'work night') so that you may follow your muse where ever it may lead.

The rigid structure is not a bug, but a feature as doing things you don't FEEL like doing (Unadulterated 'Work' in its purest form) need a rigid framework (of Ritual and Habit) from which no 'Rules Lawyer' can escape. As an adult, you do not have parents - or even bosses in many instances - to tell you to go 'clean your room'. Its only you and it is up to you to ensure you are NOT a liability to yourself by keeping your life in a 'state of readiness' (think 'General Quarters' on a military vessel).

Though Creativity is the HIGHEST priority of living, it is the lowest priority in regards to dealing with the mundane maintenance of life.

Though my paradigm is missing from this framework (for hte most part), this is what I have been striving for these past few years.

Limited Success so far though it feels alot like kinda like relearning to walk being that my old mindset for work is permanently rusted up solid.
