Boy, if that ain't the truth. At 83, I still buy, make and fix things to last 20 years. Once in a while I wonder why I do it, but I just keep on keeping on.

Walk into a Walmart. It is apparent the typical American shops price. Quality is a word not in his/her vocabulary.

My brother and I have been entrenched in a 40+ year battle to prove it is possible to have too many tools and neither of us will ever admit we have lost.

With me the tide started to recede a few years ago. I am thinning the herd. I would like to not leave a mess of fiddly stuff for someone to clean up. Finding a home for the good stuff is a problem.
